Family ForestGetting around the tree (app)
In the app, open the Tree tab. It centers on one person; the toolbar at the top gives you the views and controls.
- Pedigree (default) — ancestors laid out with left/right arrows to page deeper into a branch and back.
- Fan chart — tap the fan/pedigree toggle icon to switch. Paternal side is forest-green, maternal side is gold.
- Descendants outline — tap the outline icon to walk down through children.
- Tap a person to re-center on them; a home icon appears to jump back to where you started.
- Pan with a finger; the arrows move a whole generation at a time.
The 2×greats badge shows how many of your 16 great-great-grandparents are filled in — a quick sense of how complete your deep tree is.
