Family ForestWhat about your Ancestry photos?
A GEDCOM export carries the tree but not the images. Two good routes for those:
- Family Tree Maker: if the family archivist syncs the tree with FTM, its media folder holds every attached image at full quality — the archive imports that folder wholesale, titles and all.
- By hand for a few: open the photo on Ancestry, view the full-size image, save it, then add it through Bulk upload (avatar menu) — duplicates you already have are recognised and skipped automatically.
More sites (FamilySearch, MyHeritage, …) can be added to this guide as family members need them — ask, and it'll appear here.
