Biometric unlock (app)

On the mobile app you can unlock with Face ID or your fingerprint instead of typing a 2FA code — much friendlier on a phone.

The app locks itself when you switch away and asks for your fingerprint or face when you return.
Two-factor stays on as a fallback — it's used only when biometric unlock is off or has expired.

This is a real security feature the big genealogy apps don't offer. During a phone call or when the app is backgrounded, it re-locks — that's normal.
