I can't edit someone / tag a face to them

That person probably lives in another member's tree. You can only edit and tag people in your own tree.

• Accept the matching hint to copy them into your tree, then edit or tag.
• Or add your own version of them to your tree.
• Make sure your role is Contributor or Admin — Viewers can't make changes.
