The search box (top of the screen on the website; the search icon on Home in the app) finds people across the whole family by name — not just your tree.
- Type any part of a name. Nicknames and maiden names (aliases) match too.
- Tap a result to open that person's page.
Because reads are open family-wide, you'll find people in relatives' trees as well as your own. To build on one that isn't yours, accept its hint or add them to your tree first.
